This is where you go from being a beginner to feeling totally independent. Once you've mastered the basics you'll want to level up. Choose a skill you want to improve and we'll help you develop and fine-tune your moves. This where you start going faster, farther, start to jump and feel the power of the kite to take you on downwinders along the reef or upwind to the next sandbar.

EDGE + POWER CONTROL Riding with an instructor is the fastest way to improve your skill level. Get more finesse + power as you unlearn any bad habits you may have developed. We'll focus on kite + board control to manage speed.
BOARD SKILLS For new riders, staying upwind is the Holy Grail! We'll cover the fine points of working your way upwind. You’ll learn how to use your board edge as a rudder, how to sheet and steer your kite for maximum upwind movement, and how to smooth out your transitions to maintain upwind speed and balance. TRANSITIONS + JIBBING If you can confidently ride in either direction, but you have trouble transitioning from one to the other, then we can help. We'll cover different techniques for jibbing, including toe side transitions. TOESIDE Riding toeside is the next level so you can start building your kiting repertoire. BASIC POPS Learning the basic skills to get you into the air and hooked on finding your extreme genre. |
You think you've pretty much got it and you just need some practice? No problem, we'll keep an eye on you and give you a tip or two along the way.
JUST THE GEARWe don't rent our gear and let you have at it, usually - because we want to make sure you're safe. You might have been riding for along time - but if you haven't ridden here then you don't know the scapes. But ask us anyway, you never know. IKO certified riders, talk to us and we'll hook you up.
JUST A RIDESo your friend wants to come watch, spend the day on the sandbar with us? Sure! Feel free to pack some snacks, an adult beverages or whatever (for your friend only until your time in the water is done). The more the merrier, space permitting.
